BOARD OF DIRECTORS

MEGAN CONNER
Chairperson
Mounted Games has been close to my heart since my introduction to Equine Mounted Games Canada over 10 years ago. In past years, it has been a special family affair, getting to ride with both my sister and mom, with dad supporting and trailering the ponies. Each season has been filled with wonderful ponies, international opportunities and new friendships.
Professionally, I am a Biologist and Manager in the Agriculture industry. As Chair, I enjoy volunteering alongside a passionate team, focused on supporting members in achieving their goals in the sport of Mounted Games.

JEFF COUCH
Vice Chairperson
I have been involved with mounted games for 24 years as a rider, coach and for one term as Vice Chairperson. I have had the opportunity to compete or coach throughout Canada, Wales, Sweden, Belgium and the U.S.A.
Professionally, I am an elevator technician currently installing new elevators. To keep me even more busy, my wife, two boys and I have a hobby farm where we breed and raise registered Boer goats.

KELLY STEVENS
Secretary
My name is Kelly Stevens, and I am a member of the EMGC Board, serving as Secretary. While I am newer to the horse world, I have become actively involved through my daughter, Kamden, who has been riding for approximately four years and has a strong love for mounted games. Along with our wonderful pony, Indigo, our family (my husband Rob, Kamden, and I) enjoy being part of the mounted games community and the friendships that come with it.
Kamden is also an active member of TNY Pony Club, where I serve as Secretary as well. I enjoy supporting youth programs and helping create welcoming, organized communities for riders and families. Outside of horses, our family loves spending time camping, kayaking, and playing board games together. In my professional life, I am the Program Director/Supervisor for almost 20 years at a Montessori School.

JESSICA BEATTY
Treasurer
Mounted Games was new to me in 2024 when my daughter first competed with our pony Poppy. I had no idea what to expect, but after having endured many stuffy hunter / jumper shows that lasted all day long, the Mounted Games competitions were a breath of fresh air. As a parent I helped with the props, which allowed me to gain a better understanding of the games themselves. I loved the sense of support and community that went along with the competitions. Even though I rarely ride myself, I found that the Equine Mounted Games was something I could really enjoy taking part in as an associate member.
Professionally I am an elementary principal, and am used to overseeing the budget and finances of a school. This led me to feel comfortable taking on the role of treasurer for the EMGC. I am enjoying getting to collaborate with the Board of Directors and support my daughter's interest in Equine Mounted Games in a whole new way.

JESSIE-LYN BOADWAY
Competition Coordinator
Mounted Games has been a part of my life for the past 18 years! Time flies when you are having fun! I was first introduced to Mounted Games through the Toronto & North York Pony Club. Over the years I have been a rider, volunteer, coach and supporter within the Mounted Games community of both TNY PC and EMGC. I have been fortunate enough to represent Canada at World Team Championships, World Pairs Championships and Nations Team Championships taking me across the USA, Ireland, France, Denmark, and Wales. My favourite aspect of Mounted Games is the opportunities the sport offers. You can compete locally or travel the world meeting people with the same passion. I look forward to working with the EMGC BOD and the members of EMGC as the 2026 Competition Coordinator.

JESSICA STEWART
Rider Rep
2024 was my first year back to riding consistently. In the fall of 2023, I started to ride the infamous Flash Boadway enjoying trail rides. JL was quick to make sure I tried some games on her and to my surprise I wasn’t too bad for a lefty! Many laughs were had while I learned the ropes of the games... Dance moves too can be thrown into practices at any given time.
Games became a fun test of my riding, but even more fun due to the people around me. Weekly ride nights and outings made for a great social time with new friends. I was able to compete in Novice division with various partners. It was great to see Flash back out doing what she loves most, even at the slower pace. My nephew, Jayden too was given a warm welcome to the club.
In 2025 I look forward to continuing to ride with my games family. And I look forward to representing the members as the 2025 Rider Rep.
