EMGC Indoor Clinic

General Information

Coaches: Lily Solomon, Megan Conner, Michelle Cruikshanks (AM only), Jesse Durward, Jessie-Lyn Boadway (PM only)

Riders and ponies of all levels are invited. You need an active OE membership to ride. If you have not already,  please forward a copy of your 2024 OE membership and required OE course completion to the Secretary (equinemountedgamescanada@gmail.com).

Complete entries consist of online entry received and payment by e-transfer to the Treasurer (emgcpayments@gmail.com) by the cut-off date.

Event Format

Indoor Clinic - small groups (2-3 riders per coach)

Morning session:

First group - 9:00 – 10:30

Second group - 10:30 – 12:00

Morning: Coaches - Activity

Afternoon session:

First group - 1:00 – 2:30

Second group - 2:30 – 4:00

Afternoon: Coaches - Activity

Jessie-Lyn - Four Flag/ Triple

All sessions will consist of 5-minute warm-up, one hour and 20-minute working session –  rotate through four coaches, and 5-minute cool-down (coaches’ break)

Note:  20 minutes per coach (four groups to rotate through)

Arena divided in long quads: gently divided by cones.

Parking

Upon turning in from McCowan Rd. keep right at the fork in the laneway. East of the indoor arena there is a large parking area.

Pony On-Site

There are no stalls available. Please tie your pony to your trailer.

Please bring your own lunch, snacks and beverages.

Refunds

After the deadline, refunds will be provided only if your spot can be filled. Please contact Education Committee Member Lesley McCoy (emgclesleymccoy@outlook.com) regarding medical, veterinary, or family emergency situations.

Weather Plans

The event will be held regardless of weather (except in the event of thunder and lightning or heavy snowfall). If the event is cancelled, attendees will be notified via email the day prior to the event and fees will be refunded.

Arena

Footing of the arena is sand.

Important Reminder

It is important that each rider, spectator, and supporter respects the competition property.

Throughout the day and before you depart, please ensure that you have cleaned up after your horse, placed garbage in garbage cans, and that your trailer area is free of any hay, manure, or other debris. Please keep your horse away from any grass areas that we don’t have permission to use. No dogs please.
