About the Event

Lily Solomon and Megan Conner, Open Riders with EMGC, will be coaching a clinic focusing on Individual games at Berg-Solomon Farm! Includes two 40-minute sessions. Clinicians will offer techniques and strategies for each race. Sessions will be groups of four. $25 to ride.

9:30-10:10AM - Leadline/Novice  - a group of four riders working with Megan and four with Lily

10:15-10:55AM - Open/Intermediate - a group of four riders working with Megan and four with Lily

Break

11:15-11:55AM - Leadline/Novice  - the group of four riders who worked with Megan now switch and spend this session with Lily

12:00-12:40PM  - Open/Intermediate - morning session switch coaches as above

General Information

  • Riders and ponies of all levels are invited.
  • You need an active OE membership to ride. Proof of 2024 OE Membership must be sent to the EMGC Secretary (equinemountedgamescanada@gmail.com) if not already provided.
  • Complete entries consist of all required paperwork received by the Education Committee and payment by e-transfer to the Treasurer (emgcpayments@gmail.com) by the deadline.  Please include the rider and event name in the etransfer note. No entries will be accepted after Sunday, July 21, 2024.
  • EMGC follows the IMGA 2024 Rulebook. Additional EMGC Bit and Tack options apply.
  • EMGC is active on social media! Please send pictures and videos from the competition you would like to see get posted to Jessie-Lyn at jlboadway@hotmail.com or at 289-231-3716 on WhatsApp.

Event Format

Clinic

Parking

Please park trailers around the perimeter of the sand ring with space for other vehicles and trailers to get around. Vehicles without trailers can park by the barn and along the driveway on the grass. Please do not park between the barn and the sand ring.

Volunteering

Coaches will manage set-up and take down of equipment, with on-site volunteers always appreciated.

Refunds

After the deadline, refunds will be provided only if your spot can be filled. Please contact the Education Committee Member, Michelle Cruikshanks (mcruikshanks@outlook.com), regarding medical, veterinary, or family emergency situations.

Weather Plans

The clinic will be held regardless of weather (except in the event of thunder and lightning or heavy snowfall). If cancelled, riders will be notified via email the day prior to the competition and fees will be refunded.

Arena

Footing of the arena is sand.

Important Reminder

It is important that each rider, spectator, and supporter respects the property.

Throughout the day and before you depart, please ensure that you have cleaned up after your horse, placed garbage in garbage cans, and that your trailer area is free of any hay, manure, or other debris. Please keep your horse away from any grass areas that we don’t have permission to use. No dogs please.
