Summerfest Pairs #4 & Individual Championship #2

We are looking forward to a two-day event alongside the Barrie Fair! On Saturday, August 24th we will have the Summerfest Pairs #4 Competition followed by Individual Championship #2 on Sunday, August 25th! This is a single entry form for BOTH competitions, but it is not required to sign up for both days. 

GENERAL

• Points for these competitions will count towards overall season scores.
• Riders and ponies of all levels are invited.
• You need an active OE membership to ride. Proof of 2024 OE Membership and completed required courses must be sent to the EMGC Secretary (equinemountedgamescanada@gmail.com) if not already provided.
• Complete entries consist of all required paperwork received by the Competition Committee and payment by e-transfer to the Treasurer (emgcpayments@gmail.com) by the deadline.
• Please include the rider and event name in the etransfer note.
• EMGC follows the IMGA 2024 Rulebook. Additional EMGC Bit and Tack options apply.
• Prompt start times will be implemented. If riders are late, they will be invited into the ring when it is safe to do so.
• EMGC is active on social media! Please send pictures and videos from the competition you would like to see get posted to Jessie-Lyn at jlboadway@hotmail.com or at 289-231-3716 on WhatsApp.

VOLUNTEERING

All riders are required to identify one volunteer arena crew member in charge of set-up for their lane's equipment while they are riding.

Additional Assistant Referees and Prop Crew volunteers are needed and appreciated throughout the day. The goal is to have each volunteer assist with at least one full division. This makes the day run as smoothly as possible.

REFUNDS

After the deadline, refunds will be provided only if your spot can be filled. Please contact EMGC Event Committee Member, Megan (meganc.emgc@outlook.com), regarding medical, veterinary, or family emergency situations.

WEATHER PLANS

The competition will be held regardless of weather (except in the event of thunder and lightning or heavy snowfall). If the competition is canceled, competitors will be notified via email the day prior to the competition and fees will be refunded.

FOOD/BEVERAGE

Bring your own - Attendees are encouraged to bring their own beverages and snacks.

ARENA

Footing of the arena is sand.

CAMPING

Camping is available for free on Friday night and Saturday night. Details on the specific area for parking trailers and camping will be distributed closer to the event, but the area from last year can be used again this year.

STALLS

Stalls are available for a fee ($84.75). Please keep your area clean and tidy as spectators will visit the area. You are not required to strip the stall at the end of your stay.

IMPORTANT REMINDER

It is important that each rider, spectator, and supporter respects the competition property. Throughout the day and before you depart, please ensure that you have cleaned up after your horse, placed garbage in garbage cans, and that your trailer area is free of any hay, manure, or other debris. Please keep your horse away from any areas that we don’t have permission to use. No dogs please.
